UNICEF & the BCF provided winter clothing for 7050 children on the Mount Sinjar

 

In a unique humanitarian initiative to prepare children on the Mount Sinjar for the cold winter conditions on the Mountain, the UNICEF provided boxes of winter clothing for 7050 children.

 

The operation took place on 1st of December 2016 on the Mount Sinjar where thousands of displaced Yazidi families have taken refuge. The relief assistance consisted of boxes of winter clothing where each child received one box full of winter clothing. The boxes were provided by the UNICEF and distributed by the Barzani Charity Foundation benefiting a massive 7050 Yazidi children displaced to the Mount Sinjar with their families as the result of the ISIS offensive on Shangal and the surrounding areas back in August 2014.
