BCF delivers humanitarian aid to flood-affected IDPs on Mount Sinjar

In a humanitarian response to the flood in Sardasht camp on Mount Sinjar, Barzani Charity Foundation (BCF) delivered essential needs to the internally displaced persons (IDPs) who were severely affected by the natural disaster.

The flooding resulted in the complete loss of properties of hundreds of displaced families settled in the camp.

On May 16, 2018, the BCF teams delivered food and household supplies to Sinjar mountain where the aid reached 500 families in Sardasht camp.

The assistance included 1,000 food parcels, provided by Kuwaiti state, 1,000 mattresses, 2,000 blankets and 1,000 sets of kitchen supplies, all of which were provided by the BCF. 500 families benefited from the aid.

The BCF previously issued an aid appeal to help the flood-affected people in Sardasht camp on Mount Sinjar. However, only the Kuwaiti Consulate in Erbil has so far responded to the appeal and provided 1,000 parcels of food to those vulnerable IDPs.
