200 flood-affected families in Sinjar receive assistance

On June 5, 2018, the International Organization for Migration (IOM), in coordination with BCF, assisted 200 displaced families who had been affected by the latest flooding in the area.

The assistance included mattresses, pillows, water containers, fans, cookers, carpets, blankets, thermos and rechargeable emergency lights. They were also provided with parcels of food.

In May 2018, a severe flood struck IDP camps in Sinjar, resulting in complete or partial damage to the properties of the IDPs.

BCF previously delivered a batch of humanitarian aid to those flood-affected people, benefiting 2,100 families settled in Sardasht camp on Mount Sinjar.
