Barzani Charity Foundation (BCF), along with other international and local organizations and companies, participated in the campaign of RudawiDarbandikhan, aimed at collecting aid for the people affected by the November earthquake that hit the town of Darbandikhan, southeast of Sulaymaniyah Governorate.

The campaign was announced on December 16, 2017, and lasted for 15 days. The BCF contributed to the campaign by providing 2,450 food parcels, 958 water filters, 200 tents, 250 blankets, 150 heating devices and 150 parcels of medical needs.

BCF took part in RudawiDarbandikhan campaign along with other local and international companies and organizations such as LDS Charities, One Vision, Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency of Turkey (AFAD), QNET and others.

The campaign was launched by Rudaw Media Network to collect funds and aid for earthquake victims of the Kurdish town of Darbandikhan whose infrastructure and has been damaged.

However, the BCF has been assisting the affected people in Darbandikhan since the day the earthquake hit the town on November 12, 2017.

Due to the destruction of a large number of the houses in the town in the earthquake and fear of more quakes, the residents of the town are living in a dire psychological situation and staying outside in tents and parks. BCF teams have been continuously inspecting their situation and continue to provide them with tents, food and household needs.
