High delegation from IRW visits BCF headquarter in Erbil


Both humanitarian actors reaffirmed continued partnership


A high delegation from the Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW), headed by the organization’s chief executive officer (CEO), visited the headquarter of Barzani Charity Foundation (BCF) in Erbil where they met with the foundation’s CEO Musa Ahmed and other officials.

The IRW delegation consisted of Naser Haghamed, the organization’s CEO, Dr Hani Albanna, one of the IRW founders, and Yusuf Kasuji, the IRW Iraq Country Director.

During the meeting on Sunday, the two sides discussed their continued partnership and the future joint humanitarian operations.

Both humanitarian actors discussed the latest and most important developments in the humanitarian field in the region and exchanged views on joint projects in the future. Musa Ahmed, BCF CEO and Naser Haghamed, IRW CEO

Dr Hani, the founder of the IRW said: "We consider Barzani Charity Foundation our second home," and appreciated the humanitarian efforts of the foundation.
The IRW CEO reiterated strengthening ties between the BCF and the IRW in various humanitarian fields for better performance.

The BCF Chief Musa Ahmed referred to the saying of the Kurdish legendary leader Mustafa Barzani which says “It is a privilege to serve one's own people,” stating that “We have made the saying the principle and philosophy of our work in the humanitarian field.” He noted that they reach out to all the categories of the society regardless of their ethnicity or belief.
