926 displaced children from Kirkuk and Tuz Khurmatu receive bags and school supplies



Barzani Charity Foundation (BCF) continues to assist the students from Kirkuk and Tuz Khurmatu who have been displaced by the conflict and tensions in their areas and they are continuing their education in other areas in the Kurdistan Region.

On December 13, 2017, BCF delivered bags and school supplies to 341 elementary students (grades 1-6) from Tuz Khurmatu, who are currently studying at eight schools in Kalar district.

Meanwhile, the BCF teams distributed bags and school supplies to 180 displaced children from Tuz Khurmatu and Kirkuk settled in Chamchamal district.

Moreover, on December 12, 405 displaced students from Tuz Khurmatu, who have fled their areas along with their families due to conflicts and settled in Kalar, benefited from BCF’s aid. 

In its education sector, Barzani Charity Foundation, runs different activities every year, including building and renovating schools, providing school supplies and equipment to schools and students as well as learning and vocational courses. These activities are organized by BCF in cooperation with local and international humanitarian organizations.
