Orphan Care Project-Kurdistan allowances received by 3501

In a new round of distributing monthly allowances, 3501 orphan children received their monthly allowances through BCF’s well-established Orphan Care Project-Kurdistan.

The OCP-Kurdistan is part of BCF’s Orphan Care Project that benefits 17,000 orphan children in the KRI. This section of the project is sponsored by the private sector including private companies, charitable people and other private bodies. The new round started on 16th of April 2017 through which 3501 children received their monthly allowances for four months which was paid in a single payment.

Commenting on the event, Mr Musa Ahmad, the BCF president praised the contributing private sector companies and charitable people as despite the economic downturn in the KRI they continue to support the OCP-Kurdistan through sponsoring 3501 children. He added, we just started a new section of the project that is sponsored by both the State of Kuwait and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through which 5000 orphan children of Peshemrga martyrs of the war of ISIS benefit. The last section was announced in a public ceremony which was held on 7th of March this year in the city of Erbil.
