Barzani Charity Foundation (BCF) in coordination with Galiawa Company, will prepare dinner for 1000 people during the holy month of Ramadan in the city garden in Erbil. The service started on March 11, 2023 and will continue until the end of Ramadan.
On March 18, 2024, Mr. Musa Ahmad, President of Barzani Charity Foundation, Mr. Omed Khoshnaw, Governor of Erbil, Director of Galiawa Group and a number of political and civil figures were present at the dinner ceremony in the city garden in Erbil.
Erbil Governor Omed Khoshnaw told reporters in a press conference: “We are very happy to have dinner with traders in Erbil this evening. On behalf of Erbil Governor, we would like to thank Barzani Charity Foundation and Galiawa Group for giving a beautiful view of our city center During Ramadan and other days, 1,500 traders (both those working in the center of Erbil and those visiting the Erbil market) are provided with free food here daily.” He hoped that “the obedience and worship of Muslims will be accepted.
In his speech, Mr. Musa Ahmad, President of Barzani Charity Foundation, thanked Galiawa Group for its assistance to the project and stressed that with the assistance of donors and partners of the foundation, especially in the unfavorable economic situation imposed on the Kurdistan Region it’s a necessity to help the poor and low-income people.
The head of the Barzani Charity Foundation stressed that the food sector has tried to distribute services equally and more low-income people, people with disabilities, students of internal departments, traders and environmentalists, etc. benefit from it.
