On the occasion of World Humanitarian Day, the U.S. Consulate General in Erbil visited Debaga Camp for internally displaced Iraqis and was received by Barzani Charity Foundation camp management.
Following the current living situation of IDPs inside the camps, the US Consul General Robert Palladino was accompanied by the representatives of UNHCR, IOM Iraq, SWEDO – The Swedish Development Aid Organization and Mercy Corps. He met with camp residents and discussed issues and challenges they face. Another subject of the meeting with NGOs working in the camp was how to promote and enhance the life of internally displaced Iraqis inside the camps across Iraq.
