Following the BCF projects in collaboration with Emirates Red Crescent and the State of Kuwait, on the second day of Eid al-Adha food parcels, hygiene kits and benefaction meat were provided for 500 widows who have children.
On the occasion of Eid al-Adha, on the second day, the BCF in collaboration with Emirates Red Crescent distributed benefaction meat and another donor provided food parcels and hygiene kits to 500 families.
According to the project distribution and it is progress, the BCF’s Orphans and Widows Project Manager Omer Ahmad mentioned, “Every year, the BCF implements various projects assisting orphans and widows on special occasions. For this year, during the holy month of Ramadan, we provided 11,121 orphans with cash assistance sponsored by the Emirates Red Crescent and 4,139 other orphans were sponsored by local companies and business owners in the Kurdistan Region donating a total of USD 13.500.000. Today, the BCF in coordination with Emirates Red Crescent distributes benefaction meat for 500 orphans.”
The BCF’s Orphans and Widows Project Manager also added, “In another project, we are providing food parcels for 500 families with orphans, in partnership with a local donor Mr. Safeen who is a lawyer.”
The BCF carries out different activities for the orphans in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI) such as purchasing Eid clothes, food parcels and hygiene kits. The foundation opens educational courses and joyful activities for the orphans like (language learning courses, horse riding, Aqua Tarin Water Park).
