Aid is being delivered to 505 low-income Christian families

Due to the occasion of Christmas and new year, the BCF in cooperation with the Catholic Church in Teufen, Switzerland provides aid to 505 low-income households in Ankawa Town.

On 23 Dec. 2021, the BCF annually implements diverse projects for the Christians living in the KRI due to Christmas. Under this framework, the BCF in cooperation with the Catholic Church in Teufen, Switzerland provides aid including food boxes, pillows, and medical boxes to 505 impoverished Christian families living in the Ankawa Town, Erbil.

 

About this initiative, Mr. Ismail Abdulaziz, the head of the emergency and aid department in the BCF, declared that “We are under the slogan – it’s an honor for a human to be a servant of his own nation, which is stated by the immortal Barzani and we work under the inspiration of this saying, we serve without any discrimination of ethnicity, religion, and language, and we provide aid to the most vulnerable. Today we are in the Ankawa Town that most of its residents are Christian, due to the birthday of Jesus Christ (PBUH), despite expressing our empathy to our Christian brothers and sisters, we are going to distribute supplies including food boxes, pillows, and medical boxes to 505 low-income Christian and Armenian households of the town.”
