A delegation of the BCF holds several meetings in Germany

Willing to foster the coordination and relationship with the government and NGOs of Germany, a delegation of the BCF that was including the head of the BCF Mr. Musa Ahmed, the deputy head of the BCF Mr. Ibrahim Samin, and the BCF administrative board member Mr. Awat Mustafa visited Germany on the request of the Nordrhein Westfalen Region.

On February 28, 2022, the deputy speaker of the Nordrhein Westfalen Region parliament Ms. Claudia Godicca welcomed the BCF delegation and discussed the work of the BCF and coordination between the BCF, Nordrhein Westfalen Parliament, Nordrhein Westfalen Government, and other NGOs in Germany.

The head of the BCF was addressed the works and initiatives of the BCF to the IDPs and refugees as well as the role of the Caritas German Association was shed light on especially in the Mamrashan camp. Mr. Musa Ahmed also asked for further assistance from the German foundations to the vulnerable population. Another topic that was addressed in the meeting was the decrease of the aid being provided by the United Nations that resulted in leaving the IDPs and refugees in acute need.

The deputy speaker of the Nordrhein Westfalen Region Parliament showed her hospitality and assured their support through German NGOs in the future in order to provide a dignified environment for the IDPs and refugees in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI).

Later, the deputy speaker of the Nordrhein Westfalen Region Parliament handed the appreciation award to the head of BCF and asked him to write a statement on the diary of the Nordrhein Westfalen Region Parliament. This diary is a notebook that the public figures and leaders write their statements there.

On the same day, the BCF also delegation met the deputy prime minister of the Nordrhein Westfalen Region Government Mr. Joachim Stamp, and the minister of immigration and family of the region. In the meeting, the minister ensured their support to the vulnerable communities in the KRI and made its word to visit Kurdistan to see the context of the IDPs and refugees closely. The minister also declared their passion to provide capacity-building training and vocational training to the IDPs and refugees in the KRI.

On the other hand, the BCF delegation complimented the remarkable role of the Caritas German Association in providing services to the Mamrashan camp Yazidi residents.
