BCF Renovates 20 Schools in Halabja Province

Barzani Charity Foundation (BCF) started the project of renovating schools in Halabja province to enhance the quality of education process in the province. 20 schools in Halabja will be renovated as part of the project announced earlier by the BCF to renovate 200 schools across the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
The BCF, in coordination with the Halabja Education Directorate and the province administration, selected those 20 school buildings in the province which require to be renovated.
The renovation of the schools is expected to be completed before the new schcool year begins and an estimated number of 2,500 children will study at those 20 schools.

The educational supervisor of the province said the schools need renovation every year, but due to economic issues the region is seeing, the schools have not been renovated for the last few years. He acknowledged the BCF’s project, describing it as a valuable gift from the foundation.

Earlier, in a press conference, attended by KRI education minister and Erbil governor, the BCF announced the project of renovating 200 schools in the provinces across the region.
