Barzani Charity Foundation (BCF) in coordination with Korek Telecom Companies launched a large scale project to distribute food parcels to low-income people during the holy month of Ramadan. This project started at the beginning of Ramadan and will continue.
On March 27, 2023, Stav Aso, Head of the BCF Erbil Office said the foundation, as an annual tradition during the holy month of Ramadan, distribute dry food parcels, consisting of different food items.
She added that the BCF has prepared 3,600 food parcels, from which 800 parcels are allocated for families in Erbil Province and the distribution project launched on March 27, 2023 in the neighborhood of Turaq in Erbil.
Regarding the selection of the families, it was conducted in coordination with the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and Erbil Governorate, she said.
Araz Tutunchi of Korek Telecom said: “First of all, we would like to thank the Barzani Charity Foundation, which has played a major role in helping the people in need every year. We, as Korek Telecom, have prepared 12,000 food parcels and will distribute them in Kurdistan Region and other Iraqi cities in coordination with the Barzani Charity Foundation and the Iraqi Red Crescent.
