Barzani Charity Foundation (BCF) distributes food parcels and hot meals inside and outside the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
As part of the projects during the holy month of Ramadan, the BCF distributed 300 food parcels to 300 low-income families in Khanaqin district and surrounding areas on April 4, 2023.
The BCF office in Sinjar also distributed 360 food parcels to 360 low-income families and families with disabled members in Zumar and Sihela districts on April 5, 2023.
On April 6, 2023, the BCF teams distributed 700 food parcels in Hamdania, Sheikhan and Faide areas.
On April 9-10, 2023, the BCF, with the assistance of the UAE Red Crescent Society, prepared dinner (iftar) for 750 orphan children and their families in Sulaimaniyah, and each family was also given a parcel of food.
Meanwhile, on April 9, 2023, the BCF teams prepared dinner (iftar) for 1,200 students in the dormitories of Halabja province.
As an annual tradition, the BCF provides hot meals to more than 1,000 people in Erbil every day in Ramadan. The project will continue until the end of the month with the support of Galiawa Company.
The BCF has also been providing hot meals and food parcels to earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria since the beginning of the disaster.
