The Barzani Charity Foundation in association with the department of migration and immigrants and crisis response in Erbil and Iraqi red moon organization – Erbil department, prepares a training on responding and standing against natural disasters.
The Barzani Charity Foundation (BCF), in the 30th of October,2023 in the head of the foundation in Erbil, in association with the department of migration and immigrants and standing against crisis – Erbil department and the Iraqi red moon organization – Erbil department, opened a training for standing against natural disasters.
The training was for 3 days, that the principal of social defense, first aid kit treatments and arranging providing help during natural disasters took place.
During the training, trained trainers from the three departments of the training, prepared a very good team which included 55 persons. And they are named as “top team against natural disasters”. In 31st of October,2023 the training finished after 3 days and their Messer Mousa Ahmed the president of the Barzani Charity Foundation (BCF) and Aumed Khoshnaw the conservative of Erbil within congratulating the participants of the training that a number of them were volunteers, they appreciated their hard work and them shared out certificates on them. And also gave certificates of appreciation to the trainers of the training.
Messer Ismael Abdulazeez the member of the Barzani Charity Foundation management staff, gave a very good explanation in times when there is a natural disaster how to give or share out help and equipment, and he focused that any kind of actions like that should be done in a team and with a good plan. Also, he insisted on that when they are out there to send a help they should stay on the plan and work as they have been ordered to and be fare in the process. So that all the victims get what they need and as much as they need. And as an example, he mentioned when there was a flood, some people without getting involved with the flood they asked to record their names to get the help that they prepared. and as he stated that he would stand against those kinds of actions and they didn’t let those people to get anything so the people whom got involved would get something to help them. Messer Stav Aso the responsible in the Barzani Charity Foundation – Erbil office, about opening the training stated: “the Barzani Charity Foundation (BCF) teams are always there to serve in different natural incidents that happen such as (earthquakes, flood and fire) they always have been there to help. Even outside of Kurdistan region and Iraq, in the far or near countries whenever there was any incident, they have tried to get their helping hands there. And they tried to help them in terms of (preparing tent, food, clothes, furniture and health equipment and so on …) they had a huge role. Also, he said “so far in association with the department of migration and immigrants and responding against crisis and the Iraqi red moon organization- Erbil department, we have opened a 3-day training for a team in the head of the Barzani Charity Foundation in Erbil, that includes 55 people. The team is called ” Top Team against natural disasters “, in a very professional way works in the sectors like social defense, first aid kit treatments and arranging providing help when there is a natural disaster. They are getting ready especially for the changing season that we know in winter and autumn for any kinds of disasters like flood or anything else that may happen, and the team can help in those times and for having a role.
Messer Rebwar Abdulmajeed is one of the trainers in the training and he is the head of the relations department also he is a member in the responding crisis management staff in Erbil, at the same time he is a lecturer in society defense and he is a professional in firefighting, about opening the training in the head of the Barzani Charity Foundation said: “i am teaching the reasons of catching fire and what are the ways of controlling the fire in a safe way and how to help when there is a sudden earthquake and flood in the training. Meanwhile in the training first aid kit treatments is been taught by the Iraqi red moon organization – Erbil department and also the Barzani Charity Foundation is teaching how to prepare and give help when there is a natural disaster, generally this team is getting arranged in the best way to face any natural or unnatural disasters that may happen”. Messer Kadhim Khoshnaw, is the trainer of the trainers in the first aid kit treatments in the red moon organization Erbil department and in a speech for the Barzani Charity Foundation media stated about the training (Top Team against natural disasters) and said: “in the time which is provided for us, we teach the participants of the training how to help and rescue the injured ones when a natural disaster happens in the first minutes that we call it (golden time). All the things that should be done in that time, like the first steps until they transfer the injured person to the health teams, we teach them everything, and with that the team which includes 55 people, will have a good result when they are helping or rescuing the victims, and we wish them the best of luck”.
Messer Renaz Alyas one of the volunteers of the training. Claimed that “volunteer and charity works is a symbol for an honored person” and about the training she said “i really thank the Messer teachers in the training, they taught us allot of great things in these three days. And also, i thank the Barzani Charity Foundation that has a great role in helping humanity, we are now a great team for responding any natural disasters we are ready but we also pray not to see any”.
