Under supervision and in association between the Barzani Charity Foundation (BCF) and Khanzad Chess Team, the second international tournament for chess took place in Barzan, Abdullah Elias with the difference of 5 points became the champion.
Under supervision and in association between the Barzani Charity Foundation (BCF) and Khanzad Chess Team, the second international tournament for chess took place in Barzan, and after the tournament Messer Musa Ahmed, the head of the Barzani Charity Foundation, contributed the respect shield to both Messer’s Hisham Ali Mohammed Altahir, the president of Al-Emirate team for chess and Zafir Abd-Alameer Mazloom, the president of the federator of the chess masters of Iraq.
The tournament took place in 4&5th of November,2023 in Barzan, 50 players participated in the tournament, and it was running with (Rapid) Swiss system which is 9 rounds.
Their Messer Doctor Dilzar Hama Salih the arranger and referee of the tournament for chess, Diyar Hama Salih international referee and Kardo Ako an international trainer and player, managed the tournament.
And the result of the tournament was as it follows:
1. Abdullah Elias 5 points
2. Salar Bayazid, Kirmanj Omar Agha, Anza Khalid and Farhad Younis 4 points
3. Abd Allah Haji Law 3 points.
