The orphans and widow’s department is one of the departments of Barzani Charity Foundation (BCF), in 2012 in a conference with the presence of the chairman of the founding board Mr. Masrour Barzani, announced the orphans project and started various activities.
The priority of this department is to provide services in all areas (cash assistances, educational, health and welfare) for loved ones (orphans) and their families.
Barzani Charitable Foundation (BCF) from the orphans and widows department, distributed the salaries of the loved ones ($300 per loved one) in the second part of the Kurdistan Project in December 2023 as follows:
– 800 orphans received their salaries in Erbil office.
– 594 orphans received their salaries in the Duhok office of Barzani Charitable Foundation in Duhok province.
– 553 orphans received their salaries in Sulaimani office of Barzani Charitable Foundation.
– 655 orphans received their salaries in Kirkuk office of Barzani Charitable Foundation.
– In Halabja province, 55 orphans benefited from this assistance.
– The salaries of 91 orphans were distributed in Soran.
– The salaries of 102 orphans were distributed in Zakho.
– Barzani Charitable Foundation distributed salaries to 261 orphans in Shingal and Zummar regions and in refugee camps in Duhok province.
The total amount distributed was US$2,013,500.
