A delegation of LDS and The Stirling Foundation visited the Presidency of Barzani Charity Foundation (BCF) in Erbil on January 21, 2024 and were warmly welcomed by Mr. Musa Ahmad, President of Barzani Charity Foundation.
In the interview, which was attended by Mr. Ibrahim Samin, Deputy President of Barzani Charity Foundation, Pir Roland J. Bak and Boys Fitzgerald of LDS and Mr. Britney Sterling, Head of The Stirling Foundation in Europe and the Middle East. Further coordination for the future was discussed.
Mr. Karzan Nuri, a member of the Board of Directors of Barzani Charity Foundation, said in an exclusive interview with BCF Media about the meeting: “The American Charity Foundation (LDS) has been working with Barzani Charity Foundation since 2014 and cooperatively they have had several humanitarian projects with the partnerships throughout the Kurdistan Region and in different sectors. These projects have had a great impact on people’s lives. There have been ongoing and short-term projects. in the education sector they have served and have done a lot of things, such as renovating schools, building more classrooms for schools and providing school supplies for students. They also provided medical supplies and medicines to hospitals in the Kurdistan Region We have had several joint emergency and health projects, which have provided significant services to people with disabilities. In general, they were one of the most prominent partners of the Barzani Charity Foundation. The Stirling Foundation has also had several joint projects with us in the past two years. These organizations will be long-term partners of Barzani Charity Foundation projects.”
“After the arrival of the high-level delegation of the two agencies and in their meeting with the Presidency of the Barzani Charity Foundation, it was emphasized that in the near future we will have more joint projects in different fields, which will have an impact It will have a long-term impact on Kurdish and Iraqi society.” It is worth mentioning that both delegations visited the UAE Center for Autism in Erbil on the same date. Dr. Rawsht Rashid presented a scientific seminar on autism and then the delegations visited all departments of the center.
