The results of the unique research competition, which was jointly organized by the Barzani Charity Foundation (BCF) and the French University of Lebanon, were announced and prizes were distributed to the winners of the competition.
The results announcement ceremony was attended by Mr. Ibrahim Samin, Deputy President of Barzani Charity Foundation and Mr. Amin Kakshar, President of the French Lebanese University.
In the competition, 28 scientific papers were evaluated by an expert committee which was led by Kawa Sherwani.
Mr. Ibrahim Samin, in his speech at the ceremony, talked about the focus of Barzani Charity Foundation on scientific research: “Since its establishment, Barzani Charity Foundation has provided several important humanitarian projects in the fields of health and education and service delivery for people with disabilities and assistance Orphans and helping the victims, displaced and refugees, aims to reorganize humanitarian work in a scientific framework, became a bridge between the Charity people and those who need assistance, and became an institution A collection for young people to find themselves and their abilities to Put it at the service of humanity.”
Three scientific papers were selected as the winners of the competition, two of which were conducted jointly and one by one researcher alone. Two million dinars were awarded to the winning papers.
Winners of the unique Research Competition:
(Impact of Growth and Urbanization on Groundwater Quality (Bassam Zuhair,
(The Role of Education in Criminal Rehabilitation: A Study on the Educational Situation in Kurdistan Regional Prisons) was conducted jointly by researchers Soran Ghazi and Adnan Shuan.
(Sexual Harassment and Productivity in the Working and Learning Environment in Erbil) was jointly conducted by researchers Iram Amjad, Miram Salin and Ala Beshank, professors at the French Lebanese University.
On September 4, 2023, the Barzani Charity Foundation and the French Lebanese University announced the scientific research competition project. According to the plan of the project, research in the fields of (humanities, health, economics, technology, management and environment) could participate.
