A delegation of Barzani Charity Foundation led by Parizad Mohammed, Advisor to the President of Barzani Charity Foundation for Media and Communications Affairs, accompanied by two orphans and a mother of an orphan, participated in the international exhibition (Lon Helmhum) in the UAE – Dubai.
Mahdi Hadi, Head of Data and Information Department of the Department of orphans and widows at Barzani Charity Foundation, said: “The Lon Halmuhm program was an initiative by the UAE Red Crescent Society for orphans from five countries (Kurdistan, Egypt, India, Tughu and Jordan) to participate in an international exhibition in Dubai. After receiving this initiative, we started to run this program as the department of orphans and widows and thank God we were able to retrieve 83 boards of the pictures drawn by orphans. The brochure for this exhibition is a painting by a Kurdish orphan named Anwar Idris who participated in the exhibition with the delegation of the foundation.
After our arrival in the UAE, we were warmly welcomed by the UAE Red Crescent officials and their staff with wreaths at Abu Dhabi airport. The next day, June 4, 2024, we were welcomed at the khula center for Arts and Culture and we all participated in Kurdish clothes. Thus, the orphans made the audiences and us happy with their drawings and the media of this country were present there and later the news of this ceremony of the orphans of Kurdistan and the delegation of Barzani Charity Foundation was published on social media, newspapers and their television channels.”
Head of the Data and Information Department of the Department of orphans and widows in the Barzani Charity Foundation, said that until the day of their return, i.e., June 10, 2024 they all visited several places, including (House of Abraham) which is a place of religious coexistence. They also visited the Louvre Museum, Mustaqbal Museum, khula Center, Sheikh Zayed al-Kabir Mosque and Burj al-Khalifa. Then they visited the orphans’ department there and The Deputy Secretary General of the UAE Red Crescent awarded a certification of appreciation to them.
