Ministry of Displacement and Migration in Iraq and Barzani Charity Foundation (BCF) Continue Supporting Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs)

(430,762) IDPs Helped in the Last Six Months

Report:

After thousands of families displaced in the cities and villages under the ISIS authorities in 2014, the High Refugees Commission in coordination with Joint Crisis- Coordination (JCC) in Erbil established 10 camps for the IDPs. The management of the camps is given to BCF. Since then, BCF delivered various types of aids to these people. According to the statistics of BCF, the Ministry of Displacement and Migration in Iraq, in coordination with BCF, conducted (107) activities in sectors of (Food, NFI, WASH) in the last six month in 2019, the total number of beneficiaries was (85,349) families (430,762 individuals).

Bahirka Camp Activities

The total number of camp residents is (936) Iraqi IDPs, BCF in coordination with the Ministry of Displacement and Migration in Iraq provided aid and relief in three different sectors, the number of beneficiaries in the sectors as follows, Food Sector (2,788) families (14,262 individuals), NFI Sector (2,787) families (14,244 individuals) were provided with (households, blankets, dishes, clothes, oil, cash assistance). Another sector that helped residents of Bahirka camp is WASH Sector, this sector provided health parcels and hygienes for (2,788) families (14,262 individuals). Reports from BCF says that (8,363) families (32,766 individuals) benefited in the last six months.

Harsham Camp Activities

The total number of camp residents is (299) Iraqi IDPs, BCF in coordination with the Ministry of Displacement and Migration in Iraq provided aid and relief in three different sectors, the number of beneficiaries in the sectors as follows, Food Sector (1,210) families (6,059 individuals), NFI Sector (1,855) families (9,241 individuals) were provided with (households, blankets, dishes, clothes, oil, cash assistance). Another sector that helped the camp residents is WASH Sector, this sector provided health parcels and hygienes for (1,210) families (6,059 individuals). Reports from BCF says that (4,275) families (21,359 individuals) benefited in the last six months.

Dibaga Camp Activities

The total number of camp residents is (1,834) Iraqi IDPs, BCF in coordination with the Ministry of Displacement and Migration in Iraq provided aid and relief through three different sectors, the number of beneficiaries in the sectors as follows, Food Sector (7,425) families (39,325 individuals), NFI Sector (11,105) families (58,800 individuals) were provided with (households, blankets, dishes, clothes, oil, cash assistance). Another sector that helped the camp residents is WASH Sector, this sector provided health parcels and hygienes for (5,577) families (29,483 individuals). Reports from BCF says that (24,107) families (127,608 individuals) benefited in the last six months.

Khazir-M1 Camp Activities

The total number of camp residents is (1,297) Iraqi IDPs, BCF in coordination with the Ministry of Displacement and Migration in Iraq provided aid and relief in three different sectors, the number of beneficiaries in the sectors as follows, Food Sector (5,411) families (28,424 individuals), NFI Sector (7,043) families (37,168 individuals) were provided with (households, blankets, dishes, clothes, oil, cash assistance). Another sector that helped camp residents is WASH Sector, this sector provided health parcels and hygienes for (5,375) families (28,282 individuals). Reports from BCF says that (17,829) families (93,874 individuals) benefited in the last six months.

Hassan Sham- U3 Camp Activities

The total number of camp residents is (1,263) Iraqi IDPs, BCF in coordination with the Ministry of Displacement and Migration in Iraq provided aid and relief in three different sectors, the number of beneficiaries in the sectors as follows, Food Sector (4,944) families (23,141 individuals), NFI Sector (6,359) families (29,835 individuals) were provided with (households, blankets, dishes, clothes, oil, cash assistance). Another sector that helped the camp residents is WASH Sector, this sector provided health parcels and hygienes for (4,944) families (23,141 individuals). Reports from BCF says that (16,247) families (76,117 individuals) benefited in the last six months.

Hassan Sham- U2 Camp Activities

The total number of camp residents is (965) Iraqi IDPs, BCF in coordination with the Ministry of Displacement and Migration in Iraq provided aid and relief in three different sectors, the number of beneficiaries in the sectors as follows, Food Sector (4,672) families (22,311 individuals), NFI Sector (5,064) families (23,932 individuals) were provided with (households, blankets, dishes, clothes, oil, cash assistance). Another sector that helped the camp residents is WASH Sector, this sector provided health parcels and hygienes for (4,792) families (22,793 individuals). Reports from BCF says that (14,528) families (69,036 individuals) benefited in the last six months.
