BCF Assists 1,500 flood-affected people in Northern Erbil Province

The heavy rain caused flooding in Balakayati and Khanaqa Valley regions in northern Erbil Province, leading to huge damage to the houses and properties of the residents in those areas.

Barzani Charity Foundation (BCF) delivered two convoys of assistance to the areas hit by the disaster on October 28, 2018. The total amount of aid benefited 300 families (1,500 individuals).

Ismail Abdulaziz, head of the BCF Aid and Relief department stated: “More than 1,500 people have been affected by the flooding in Balakayati and Khanaqa, 750 of whom were left without a shelter.”

Regarding the BCF’s humanitarian response plan to help the affected families, Abdulaziz previously said they would soon deliver essential needs such as food, blankets, mattresses, kitchen supplies, and other equipment to those families.
