Barzani Charity Foundation, at the invitation of Human Rights Foundation (HRF), participated in the Oslo Human Rights Conference on 26\5\2025. Awat Mustafa, Head of Relations of Barzani Charity Foundation in Europe, represented the President of Barzani Charity Foundation (Musa Ahmad), participated in several panels at the conference. He also held direct meetings with several prominent human rights figures, including Masih Alinejad, Victor Kara Mirza, African Union Representative for Human Rights Naji Mkito, and Patrick Elliott, Senior Advisor to the US State Department on Hostage Situations.
Among the panels and meetings of the Head of Relations of Barzani Charity Foundation in Europe, the changes and humanitarian situation in the Kurdistan Region were the focus of attention and joy of researchers and lawyers in the field of human rights. The position and efforts of the Barzani Charity Foundation to respect and protect human rights, particularly its commitment to international humanitarian law, were appreciated.
The annual conference is held in Oslo for three days with the participation of a significant number of human rights activists and organizations. Barzani Charity Foundation is scheduled to participate in a seminar on protecting the rights of refugees during displacement next year.
