Musa Ahmad: In the name of God and with the Guidance of President Barzani, We Will Continue Distributing Humanitarian Aid

The President of the Barzani Charity Foundation presented detailed data and statistics on the distribution of humanitarian assistance in Rojava Kurdistan, emphasizing ongoing efforts to expand aid delivery to other cities across the region.
On Sunday, 25 January 2026, Musa Ahmad, President of the Barzani Charity Foundation, announced figures and information regarding the delivery of humanitarian assistance to Rojava Kurdistan during a press conference in Qamishlo.
In his speech, the President of the Barzani Charity Foundation stated that, under the direct instructions of President Masoud Barzani, the Foundation proudly arrived in Qamishlo with a large humanitarian convoy and has since been providing daily humanitarian services and various forms of assistance to the people of Rojava Kurdistan. He then added: “Today, the Barzani Charity Foundation is fully engaged in serving the people of Rojava Kurdistan. We will continue providing all possible assistance within our capacity. In the name of God and under the guidance of President Barzani, we will remain committed to delivering this aid.”
He then presented the following statistics on aid distribution in Rojava Kurdistan:
Within less than 72 hours:
114 aid trucks arrived in Qamishlo.
5,827 families, totaling 34,227 individuals, benefited from the assistance.
30 schools were equipped, and food baskets, mattresses, blankets, hygiene kits, poultry, yogurt, and many other essential items, 22 different types of aid were distributed.
81 schools were supplied with fuel.
4,000 hot meals were distributed.
Three mosques and four schools were equipped, with 300 hot meals distributed daily.
Health teams, consisting of staff and volunteer doctors from the Barzani Charity Foundation and the government, provided primary medical care to 1,367 people.
The Barzani Charity Foundation provided job opportunities for 200 individuals.
Aid was distributed in Qamishlo, Derik, Amuda, and Girkê Legê, with continued efforts underway to expand assistance to other cities, towns, and villages across Rojava Kurdistan.
A total of 150 staff members of the Barzani Charity Foundation are working in Rojava, many until late at night. Each day, 12 field teams operate simultaneously in 12 different locations, distributing aid.
With the support of His Excellency Masrour Barzani, Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, there are plans to deliver 536,000 liters of fuel to Qamishlo.
In the concluding part of his statement, Musa Ahmad noted that President Masoud Barzani continues his efforts through diplomatic channels to halt the conflict and pursue dialogue and peaceful solutions. He also emphasized that the Barzani Charity Foundation is working to extend humanitarian assistance to Kobani and other cities and villages in Rojava.
He expressed his gratitude to media institutions for their continued support and coverage of the Foundation’s humanitarian work, and also thanked the Kurdish Red Crescent staff and volunteers who are cooperating with the Barzani Charity Foundation teams in these humanitarian efforts.
