As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance humanitarian and healthcare services, the Sinjar Office of the Barzani Charity Foundation, in cooperation with HELFEN BRINGT FREUDE and Caritas Essen, and in coordination with the Nineveh Health Directorate, inaugurated a new dental health unit at the Zorava Community Health Center in Sinjar on 27 May 2026.
This project represents an important step toward improving healthcare services and providing essential treatment for residents of the area, particularly in the field of dental health. Under the unit’s operational plan, residents of the Zorava community and most surrounding villages will have continuous access to its medical services.
The unit provides dental examinations, consultations, and treatment services free of charge, offering significant support to individuals suffering from dental problems who may not have the financial means to access private healthcare services.
The Barzani Charity Foundation has always placed special emphasis on the healthcare sector. Through its health programs, the Foundation supports physical, mental, and social well-being by providing a wide range of medical services, including health screenings, surgical procedures, medication distribution, medical staffing, the establishment of healthcare facilities, and the provision of essential medical supplies. It also promotes public health awareness in accordance with the guidelines of the World Health Organization (WHO).
In addition, the Foundation works on the construction and rehabilitation of healthcare centers, conducts awareness campaigns on the prevention of communicable diseases, and supports the establishment of mobile hospitals to expand access to healthcare services in underserved areas.
Through the generous support of donors, partner countries, and international organizations, the Barzani Charity Foundation has played a vital role in supplying healthcare facilities with medical equipment and a wide range of essential health-related resources.
The Barzani Charity Foundation continues to emphasize that supporting the healthcare sector and ensuring access to basic health services for everyone, without discrimination, remains a fundamental component of its humanitarian mission. The Foundation will therefore continue implementing healthcare projects and initiatives that serve individuals and strengthen communities.
