More Than 1,200 People Benefited from Barzani Charity Foundation’s Training Courses in One Month

Despite the suspension of assistance from United Nations organizations, the Barzani Charity Foundation has continued to conduct educational, vocational, artistic, and other training courses both inside and outside the camps for internally displaced persons and refugees. These courses have had a significant impact on the lives of their participants, and in May alone, 1,205 people benefited from them.
During May 2026, in addition to conducting first aid and rapid response courses for more than 750 employees across all offices of the Foundation and providing seminars on combating narcotic drugs, from which hundreds of people benefited, the Barzani Charity Foundation also organized 49 vocational, educational, artistic, and literacy courses inside and outside the camps for internally displaced persons and refugees, benefiting more than 455 people.
In coordination with and with the support of donors, philanthropists, and partner organizations, the Barzani Charity Foundation has played a major role in serving various groups and segments of society, including internally displaced persons and refugees, vulnerable and low-income communities, and homeless individuals in the Kurdistan Region, the provinces of Iraq, and abroad.
With the aim of providing training, developing skills, creating employment opportunities, and generating income for individuals and families during times of crisis, the Foundation has attached great importance to establishing cultural, artistic, and vocational centers, where various courses and training programs are offered to trainees.
The Barzani Charity Foundation manages 15 vocational and cultural centers, 11 of which are located inside refugee and IDP camps. Through these cultural centers, vocational workshops, and training programs, thousands of people benefit annually from courses in computer skills, electricity, tailoring, food production, handicrafts, weaving, knitting, beauty services, and many other fields.
