The Barzani Charity Foundation (BCF) collaborated with Emirates Red Crescent to provide 1,500 families with food assistance on the 33rd anniversary of the Halabja chemical attack which killed 5,000 people and left thousands more injured.
During a press conference held in Erbil on March 16, 2021, the BCF and Emirates Red Crescent announced a project to assists low-income families in Halabja and Erbil provinces. The press conference was attended by the General Consulate of Emirates in Erbil, the Governor of Erbil and the President of BCF.
The project covers food assistance for 1,500 low-income families in Erbil and Halabja provinces.
