In a special ceremony, Wings of Help Germany presented a shield of honor to Musa Ahmad, President of Barzani Charity Foundation.
On Thursday, May 15, 2025, in a special ceremony held at the Presidency of Barzani Charity Foundation in Erbil, in the presence of several government officials and organizations, the President of Wings of Help and his deputy and several other dignitaries, the Shield of Honor was awarded to Musa Ahmad, President of Barzani Charity Foundation, for his efforts and his role in attracting organizations to carry out humanitarian work in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq.
The Wings of Help Award is a global award given periodically to individuals who have made a distinctive commitment to humanitarian work. The award was previously presented to Klaus and Gonnar Heinemann, business guides in Hamburg, journalist Stefan Öst, CEO of Deutsche Firmogensbiratung EG, Andreas Boll, and Frankfurt music and activity pioneer Birnd Bretter.
The award, for the first time was presented to Wings of Help president Frank Franky as part of the “Living Aviation Legend” ceremony, has been a prominent American discussion for decades, also known as the Oscars for Aviation.

Musa Ahmad, President of Barzani Charity Foundation, expressed his gratitude to the organization, said that Wings of Help and Barzani Charity Foundation have been working together for more than 11 years and “The projects between the Barzani Charity Foundation and Wings of Help have reached more than $3 million, including equipment and medicines,” he said.” He stressed that the Barzani Charity Foundation has become a bridge between organizations, capitalists, victims and different sections of society, adding, “Our work is for the sake of humanity and we are at the service of humanity.
