The pilgrims thank the Barzani Charity Foundation, the government and the people of Kurdistan

In Iran, I often watch the activities of the Barzani Charity Foundation on social networks
Barzani Charity Foundation (BCF) has welcomed Iranian pilgrims from Erbil to the holy cities of southern Iraq for the fourth year. Some of the pilgrims gave exclusive interviews to the media of Barzani Charity Foundation and expressed their gratitude for the facilities and assistance from Barzani Charity Foundation, the government and the people of Kurdistan.
In early August 2025, in the hot summer weather, from morning till midnight, buses and minibuses repeatedly arrive at the Erbil International Exhibition Ground and pilgrims get off to take a break. Among the pilgrims are children, adults, the elderly, and even a large number of people with disabilities.
Sheikh Bashir Adel Guli, Secretary General of the State Foundation and the representative of the religious marja’i in the Kurdistan Region, in an exclusive interview with the media of the Barzani Charity Foundation, first pointed out that the pilgrims are very satisfied with the welcome. He added: “In terms of security, services, accommodation, food and medicine, the pilgrims of Imam Hussein have been welcomed better than in previous years. Therefore, on behalf of the pilgrims and shiaa muslims of the Kurdistan Region, we thank the Kurdistan Regional Government There has never been another place to be better than this place. May God reward them all.”
Fatima Alimoradi, an elderly woman with disabilities, is dressed in black from head to toe and carries a bag with the words “Ya Hussein Ibn Ali” written on it. When we asked her how she can travel in such a hot weather. She replied: “Imam Hussein, even if we sacrifice our lives for him, it’s still not enough. I came last year and went to Baghdad, Najaf and Karbala from here.” Regarding the level of satisfaction with the facilities and services of the Barzani Charity Foundation, she said: “May Allah, our Prophet (peace be upon him) and our holy Imams, peace be upon them, support you. You (Barzani Charity Foundation) have made every effort and may God bless you all.”
Mandana Khorami, a 17-year-old girl who lives in Urmia, was asked how satisfied she is with the services of the Barzani Charity Foundation. she said: “I often watch the projects of the Barzani Charity Foundation in Iran, on Google, YouTube and social networks. This organization is sacred and has done a lot of service to humanity.”
Gholam Reza Hosseinzadeh, a resident of Iran’s western Azerbaijan province, is one of thousands of pilgrims who thank the Barzani Charity Foundation for its services. He says in this regard: “The teams of Barzani Charity Foundation have worked hard; may God bless them. In addition to food and drink, there are doctors and medicines in this shelter. The halls, although they are big, are very cool and thank you. We really thank your Foundation and the people of Kurdistan for their help.”
A pilgrim introduces himself as Haji Nasr. And says: “We thank the people of Iraq and the Kurdistan Region in general. We thank the Kurdistan Regional Government for facilitating the movement of pilgrims. We also thank the Barzani Charity Foundation for accepting a lot of responsibility. The provision of such a large venue with all the services in this international exhibition in Erbil by the Barzani Charity Foundation is really commendable and grateful.
Barzani Charity Foundation teams began preparing for the arrival of Iranian pilgrims to participate in the mourning ceremony of Imam Hussein at the International Exhibition in Shahid Sami Abdulrahman Park in Erbil. Provide them with accommodation (with food, drink and health services).
Last year, Barzani Charity Foundation teams welcomed and served more than 150,000 Iranian pilgrims who visited Baghdad and Karbala to participate in the mourning ceremony of Imam Hussein’s death anniversary.
