“Chaka” Project Will Continue After Ramadan

Ismail Abdulaziz, a member of the Board of the Barzani Charity Foundation, spoke about one of the Foundation’s projects named “Chaka,” through which various forms of assistance are provided to poor and vulnerable individuals.
On Monday, 23/2/2026, Ismail Abdulaziz, who also serves as the supervisor of aid programs at the Barzani Charity Foundation, stated in an interview with the Foundation’s media that the “Chaka” project provides diverse assistance to people in need and low-income families.
He explained that the project was launched several years ago and, during this time, has supported unemployed and low-income individuals by helping them establish livelihoods and secure better sources of income for themselves and their families. He said: “The project may not be large enough to completely transform a family’s life, but it provides meaningful relief and support to vulnerable individuals. Therefore, we are expanding it so that more people can benefit. This year, we have also begun covering treatment expenses for children whose medical costs are beyond their families’ financial capacity.”
He further emphasized that all these humanitarian efforts are made possible through the generosity and support of donors and charitable individuals. He added: “With the grace of God and the generosity of donors, the project will continue even after the holy month of Ramadan.”
