On the eleventh anniversary of the genocide of the Yezidi Kurds, Ms. Parizad Shaban, Advisor to the President of Barzani Charity Foundation for Public Relations and Media Affairs, participated in the commemoration ceremony of the eleventh anniversary of the genocide of the Yezidis and ethnic minorities in Baghdad.
Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Sudani, Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Representatives in Baghdad Ammar Hakim, Fuad Hussein and Fares Isa, and several ministers and senior government officials, attended a ceremony dedicated to the genocide of the Yazidis in Baghdad On Sunday August 3, 2025 in the Zawra Hall of Rashid Hotel in Baghdad.
The presence of the representative of Barzani Charity Foundation was a spiritual support for the victims of genocide and the assistance provided to them in the past was presented, and emphasized the continuous support of Barzani Charity Foundation for the voluntary return of refugees to their homeland.
On the other hand, the reconstruction of Sinjar by building housing units and service buildings and opening two hospitals with 100 beds and 50 beds, to improve the infrastructure of the area and reconstruction were pointed to.
Several representatives of the Yezidis attended the ceremony and expressed their gratitude to the representative of the Barzani Charity Foundation for taking ownership of the case of the Yezidis and continuously supporting them in all different situations and providing services and continuous assistance.
