Barzani Charity Foundation in collaboration with the Swedish Human Bridge Organization, donated two large trucks of medical supplies to Western Hospital in Erbil, which includes operating room equipment and several expensive medical supplies.
In presence of Ismail Abdulaziz, member of the Executive Board of Barzani Charity Foundation, Cristofer Stalgren, representative of Human Bridge and Dr. Dlovan Mohammed, Director General of Health in Erbil, Director of Western Hospital in Erbil and several media channels, on 24\4\2025 two large trucks of medical supplies were provided to Western Hospital in Erbil.
In a press conference that was held at the same time as the medical needs for the patients arrived, Dr. Dlovan Mohammed, Director General of Health in Erbil, said that the Barzani Charity Foundation has supported the health sector as they always do, citing examples such as supporting centers and hospitals, opening training courses and he added that the type of assistance and provision of supplies of the Western Hospital was at the request of the hospital management, which includes operating room equipment and several expensive supplies.
Cristofer Stalgren, Representative of Swedish Human Bridge, said: “As a representative of Sweden and Human Bridge, I am proud to be in Erbil, Kurdistan, and I thank the Barzani Charity Foundation for our cooperation that we have since 2011 in which during that time we have have sent more than 35 containers of aid to the Kurdistan Region.”
Ismail Abdulaziz, a member of the executive board of the Barzani Charity Foundation, spoke for the media, and first he mentioned that “One of the most important sectors is the health sector and the Barzani Charity Foundation has seriously supported this sector without differentiation from wherever needed”. He then stressed more on the topic and claimed: “The Barzani Charity Foundation has always been in contact with international and humanitarian organizations to send their aid to the Kurdistan Region,”. About the aid that has been sent to the hospital, he said: “The type of aid and provision of supplies was at the request of the hospital management, with many regards, we could arrange their needs in cooperation with the Swedish Human Bridge Organization”.
As he claimed: “In 2011, Barzani Charity Foundation signed a memorandum of understanding with the Swedish organization Human Bridge and since then, about 40 containers of aid have been sent to the Kurdistan Region and distributed to all hospitals in the Kurdistan Region without discrimination,”. He added: “The immortal Barzani says: ((It is a pride for a person to serve his nation)), so the Barzani Charity Foundation will continue on this principle and serve its citizens in all sectors.
