Karzan Noori, Administrative Board Member of the BCF, participated United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) workshop “Recognition of the Victims in the Context of Iraqi Law” seeking proper solutions for the victims of terror. Yazidi Kurds in particular. Several judges and judicial investigators in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq attended the workshop.
Karzan Noori, in several sections of the workshop, shed light on the struggles Yazidi Kurds faced in the past and the international community’s responsibility to be more supportive of the Yazidi victims providing them with the necessary assistance in Iraq.
The BCF representative highlighted the importance of rehabilitating their homes and support the victims’ rights in the place of origin.
UNODC Recognition to the BCF
At the end of the workshop “Recognition of the Victims in the Context of Iraqi Law”, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) presented a letter of recognition to the BCF, for the foundation’s hard work assisting victims of terror.
