By the order of President Masoud Barzani, the Daik Care Complex in Soran Autonomous Administration was built and officially opened by Barzani Charity Foundation with international standards and contains high quality standards.
In a special ceremony attended by Mr. Sidad Barzani (Representative of President Barzani), Mr. Mullah Mustafa Barzani, Mr. Musa Ahmed President of Barzani Charity Foundation, Minister of Education, Minister of Health, Supervisor of Soran Independent Administration, Deputy Minister of Social Affairs, President of Kurdistan Islamic Religious Teachers Union and A number of government officials, party officials, academics, religious leaders and civil activists, on 8\9\2024 opened Daik Care Complex in Soran Independent Administration.
Mr. Sidad Barzani (President Barzani’s representative) welcomed the participants and delivered a speech at the opening ceremony and claimed: “the Daik Care Complex has been established with the direct and continuous presence of President Barzani. President Barzani intended this society to be named after mother, as a tribute to Mother Hamail and all the mothers of martyrs, Anfal and mothers of Kurdistan who endured suffering, hardship and displacement.”
He expressed his happiness that for the first time in Soran region in an academic and scientific manner, an educational center for the deaf and blind and an autism center will be opened. And he claimed: “another part of this community is specialized for the elderly and orphans that fortunately we have a few numbers of the elderly in the region and we don’t have any orphans in Soran.”
Mr. Musa Ahmad, President of Barzani Charity Foundation, in his speech after welcoming the participants, said: “We have always described ourselves as Peshmergas of (Mr. President Barzani), especially in implementing his recommendations and this recommendation was a very important one, which is to open a society called Daik Care Complex. We are happy that our employees serve the disabled, congenital diseases and the elderly within this community and in an international standard”. He added: “This community is an important work for Soran and for the Barzani Charity Foundation, because it changed our work from serving to training, developing and building a talented individual,”. He stressed that the Barzani Charity Foundation will do its best to open such communities in other cities and towns of Kurdistan as well.
In the last part of his speech, the President of Barzani Charity Foundation expressed his gratitude to all those who worked tirelessly in this project, and asked academics and talented people to teach in this Centre which is the main goal.
Mr. Halgurd Sheikh Najib, the Supervisor of Soran Independent Administration, in his speech stressed that “Barzani Charity Foundation, which has provided the community to the people of the region, has not hesitated to serve the citizens in all sectors before”. And he said: “We understand the concerns of families with children with autism, so the Kurdistan Regional Government will help them. The community will be a feast for the elderly who need services. The center will help the blind and deaf to become part of the development of society and the development of the country.”
The Daik Care Complex includes six special buildings (autism center, nursing home, orphanage, cultural center, institute for the deaf and institute for the blind). Sports and games facilities are also provided for all beneficiaries.
The ownership and management of the Daik Care Complex belongs to the Barzani Charity Foundation. All services are provided free of charge by the Barzani Charity Foundation.
Barzani Charity Foundation in coordination with the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and according to the guidelines of experts, trainers and employees of (Daik Care Complex) who consist of psychological, social and educational researchers, prepared all departments and worked with international standards.
The community provides a wide and significant service to the people of the region. President Masoud Barzani has attached great importance to the project, and has provided all the cost and ordered it to be implemented with high quality and according to international standards, and to serve the special and interested sections of the region in the best way.
