Barzani Charity Foundation (BCF) is assisting mosques in Duhok province and Zakho autonomous administration

The project of providing carpets for mosques in Duhok province and Zakho autonomous administration was announced in the presence of the president of Barzani Charity Foundation, the governor of Duhok, representatives of the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs in Duhok and a number of journalists.
In the presence of Musa Ahmad, President of Barzani Charity Foundation, Ali Tatar, Governor of Duhok, representatives of the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs in Duhok and a number of journalists, Barzani Charity Foundation announced the project. Barzani Charity Foundation announced the project of providing carpets for 62 mosques in Duhok province and Zakho autonomous administration in a press conference held on July 28, 2025 in Duhok.
Musa Ahmad, president of the Barzani Charity Foundation, welcomed the participants and said that mosques have played a significant role in Kurdishness, humanity, education and science. And they have created many legends in history. He added that Barzani Charity Foundation has worked in several different sectors and implemented various projects for refugees and local people with the assistance of partners. He also highlighted that the Azizan (orphans’) project was launched in 2012 by His Excellency Mr. Masrour Barzani, Chairman of the Founding Board of the Barzani Charity Foundation, and more than 16,000 orphans have benefited from the project and more than $81 million dollars have been distributed to them. He added that in 2022, one of the beautiful projects of the Barzani Charity Foundation was the distribution of housing units to the proud families of martyrs without discrimination. “We are proud to be able to serve them, and I believe this has been the most beautiful project ever presented to the proud families of the martyrs,” he said.
The President of Barzani Charity Foundation, in another topic of his speech, highlighted that despite the unfavorable economic situation, Barzani Charity Foundation has a number of various projects. He said that Barzani Charity Foundation is trusted by local and international donors and continues to provide humanitarian assistance and is at the service of its nation. He also said that after the recommendation of President Barzani to fight drugs, a large-scale campaign has been launched and in a scientific and academic manner throughout the Kurdistan Region and with the support of the Kurdistan Regional Government institutions, serve citizens, especially youth.
Musa Ahmad, at the end of his speech on the project to provide carpets for mosques in Duhok province and Zakho autonomous administration, said that within the framework of the project, 62 mosques in Duhok province and Zakho autonomous administration will be provided with new carpets.
Then, Ali Tatar, Governor of Duhok, welcomed the participants, on behalf of the people of Duhok, thanked the Barzani Charity Foundation and stressed that the Barzani Charity Foundation, every time, has done some beautiful work and this organization is both a great organization and also holds a big name. Therefore, they have served all classes without distinction of religion, religion or nationality. Wherever there have been victims around the world, they have reached out to them.
The governor thanked the Barzani Charity Foundation for the implementation of the project to provide carpets for 62 mosques in Duhok province and Zakho autonomous administration and said: “The mosque is an important and sacred place for us and besides being the house of God, it has been a place of maturity. We are indebted to our mosques and religious teachers who have led the nation to this stage.”
