The donation of medicines and medical supplies to the Erbil General Directorate of Health was announced in a press conference in the presence of the Director of the Erbil Office of Barzani Charity Foundation, the Director of the Erbil General Directorate of Health, and the head of communications of ESB Group of Companies.
In the presence of Stav Aso, Director of the Erbil Office of Barzani Charity Foundation, Dr. Dlovan Mohammed Fatih, Director of Erbil General Directorate of Health and Dr. Amin Head of Communications of ESB Group of Companies, in a press conference held on July 29, 2025 at the Presidency of Barzani Charity Foundation, the provision of medicines and medical supplies with the assistance of ESB Group of Companies to the Erbil General Directorate of Health was announced.
First, Stav Aso, Director of the Erbil Office of Barzani Charity Foundation, welcomed the participants and said that ESB Group of Companies will provide medicines and medical supplies at a cost of more than (70,000,000) dinars through Barzani Charity Foundation to the Erbil General Directorate of Health. That will be will be distributed to Galiawa Center and Shaqlawa Hospital. She stressed that “Barzani Charity Foundation has always paid full attention to the health sector and has always tried to benefit hospitals and health centers from medical assistance. “In the next two days, with the assistance of Rimad Company, they will provide a radiographic equipment to the Shahidan Health Center,” She added. “We would like to thank all the donors, especially the ESB Group of Companies, which is not the first time they have coordinated with the Barzani Charity Foundation in their projects,” she said.
Then Dr. Dlovan Mohammed Fatih, Director of the Erbil General Directorate of Health, in his speech first thanked the Barzani Charity Foundation and ESB Group of Companies. He added that the medical aid will be distributed to two hospitals in the General Directorate of Health in Erbil. One of them is Shaqlawa Hospital, which has a wide border and provides great services to citizens, as well as Galiawa Center for the treatment of diabetes and appendicitis, which provides great services to citizens with diabetes and chronic diseases. “The Barzani Charity Foundation has been a great supporter of us not only in this project, but also in many other projects in the health sector over the years, providing medicines and medical supplies and opening courses. And also, there are a number of centers that they financially support them.
The director of the Erbil General Directorate of Health said that the types of medicines and supplies will be determined in coordination with the Barzani Charity Foundation and donors have played a significant role in improving health services.
Dr. Amin, Head of Communications of ESB Group of Companies, said that the company works in the field of supplying medicines in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq, and said: “Over the past years we have tried to serve the citizens of the Kurdistan Region. Especially in the beloved Erbil and its surroundings, with the aim of improving the health sector in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region in particular.”
Head of Communications of ESB Group of Companies, said that in the new projects of the company, it has been decided to help patients with chronic diseases. “On behalf of the ESB Group of Companies, we are proud to be part of the humanitarian duty and provide medicines through the Barzani Charity Foundation to the beneficiaries in coordination with the Erbil General Directorate of Health,” he said.
