A US agency in coordination with the Barzani Charity Foundation, is providing solar energy systems to several schools

The Stirling Foundation, in collaboration with the Barzani Charity Foundation, is facilitating the provision of solar energy systems to several schools across the Kurdistan Region.
On Sunday, April 13, 2025, a delegation from the Stirling Foundation, headed by Ms. Britney Stirling, Regional Director for the Middle East, visited the headquarters of the Barzani Charity Foundation in Erbil. The delegation was warmly received by Mr. Musa Ahmad, President of the Foundation.
As a humanitarian organization, the Stirling Foundation carries out its initiatives in the Kurdistan Region in close partnership with the Barzani Charity Foundation. As part of a pilot phase last year, solar energy systems were successfully installed in ten schools in Erbil, serving as an alternative and sustainable source of electricity. The Foundation intends to build on this initiative with further expansions in the future.
In the meeting, which was attended by Dr. Saman Barzanji, Minister of Health of the Kurdistan Regional Government, and Dr. Abdullah Mullah Waisi, President of the Union of Islamic Religious Scholars of Kurdistan, emphasized the joint work and continued coordination and relations between Stirling Foundation and Barzani Charity Foundation.
