The Akre representation of the Barzani Charity Foundation, in collaboration with The Stirling Foundation, successfully concluded a women’s sewing course on April 7, 2025, at the Newroz Vocational Center in Akre. Thirteen women participated in the program and were honored with gifts upon its completion.
Additionally, in partnership with the Kurdistan Women’s Union, a handicraft course (focusing on candle and soap making) was completed on April 10, 2025, in the township of Bjil, Akre. A total of twenty-four women took part in the course. Upon completion, participants received certificates and prizes, with the top participant awarded a comprehensive package containing all essential materials for handicraft production.
