The President of Barzani Charity Foundation receives the diaspora youth participating in the Human Development Camp

Barzani’s headquarters and the Kurdistan Diaspora Confederation have organized a seven-day trip for a number of diaspora youths to the Kurdistan Region and they were received by the human development camp which belongs to Barzani Charity Foundation, and they were taken to the historical and cultural places of Kurdistan.
On Tuesday, October 7, 2025, 106 Kurdish youth from all four parts of Kurdistan and living abroad visited the Presidency of Barzani Charity Foundation in Erbil and were warmly welcomed by Mr. Musa Ahmad, President of Barzani Charity Foundation.
The guests first visited the warehouses and departments of the foundation, then videos of the past twenty years of work and activities of the foundation were shown and the guests were familiarized with the history of humanitarian assistance of Barzani Charity Foundation in the Kurdistan Region.
Mr. Musa Ahmad, President of Barzani Charity Foundation, in his speech to the guests, while welcoming them, highlighted the name of Barzani Charity Foundation, which bears the name of Barzani Father and everyone knows that his struggle was to build a home for all Kurdish people. He added: “We are proud that today, if there is a need, in any part of Kurdistan and in any country when a disaster has occurred, they ask President Barzani and this foundation”.
He thanked the Kurdistan Diaspora Confederation for making it possible for the Barzani Charity Foundation to meet these young people and he said: “We as Barzani Charity Foundation promise to serve you and our people more extensively. A large number of Europeans like us support the struggle for the legitimate Kurdish cause and we are proud to welcome them as well. I really hope that these kinds of projects continue and we will do our best to have good plans for having more activities like this and welcome more guests. Each one of you with different beliefs in your city and country can be an ambassador of Barzani Charity Foundation”.
The president of the Barzani Charity Foundation pointed out that “the Barzani Charity Foundation cannot work without the cooperation of the people and the Kurdistan Regional Government”. He mentioned an example like this and said: “In 2012, more than 1,100 people, including young, old, disabled, women and children, came to the first camp in Bahrka. Neither the Barzani Charity Foundation nor the Kurdistan Regional Government had prepared for this number of refugees to welcome them. He continued and said: “The mayor of Erbil was with us. We told them to provide them with some biscuits, juice and other things, but soon thousands of vehicles came and brought them mattresses, blankets, food and clothes which was from the people living in Kurdistan and this is how welcoming the Kurdish people are they treated them like brothers and sisters of their own.
The president of the Barzani Charity Foundation said that he asked a German parliamentarian: If the population of a country like Germany increases by 30% within two or three months due to the arrival of refugees, can they manage it? He replied that it was “impossible”, but that has happened in the Kurdistan Region. He added that the teams of Barzani Charity Foundation, in 45 days, they have been able to distribute “nine million 900,000 meals” to the yaidi Kurds, without a single case of poisoning, in temperatures of about 50 degrees.
The president of the Barzani Charity Foundation stressed that “the Kurds are the greatest defenders of humanity and what the Kurdish people have done for refugees” has not been done in any country, according to people and international organizations that have seen with their own eyes.
Then Dr. Ismail Kamil, President of the Kurdistan Diaspora Confederation, delivered a speech and said that 40 Kurdish Diaspora Centers and 108 Kurdish Associations in Europe and the world are members of the Confederation on behalf of all of them, he expressed his gratitude to the Kurdistan Regional Government, the Diaspora Disc of Barzani headquarters and the Barzani Charity Foundation. He stressed on that their confederation considers the Barzani Charity Foundation as its home. He added: “Kurdistan is our home and we must all try to unite and have a strong relationship with the south, north, west and east and two plus two equals one for the Kurds and we have one Kurdistan.
The President of the Kurdistan Diaspora Confederation thanked the youth participating in the human development camp of Barzani Charity Foundation and hoped that each of them living in any country, become ambassadors of Barzani Charity Foundation and have a strong relationship with this foundation.
Then Mr. Yad Amin, President of the Kurdistan Diaspora Federation, welcomed the participants and pointed out that the Kurdistan Diaspora Federation belongs to the Kurdistan Diaspora Confederation and belongs to the Diaspora Disc “Barzani headquarters” headed by Shifa Barzani. He stressed that the Barzani Charity Foundation has a unique work and a strong team. “The Kurdish Diaspora and the Barzani Charity Foundation are both the product of an idea that came from President Barzani and we both work with the same goal and were established to serve this country. “We are really proud and the protocol team showed a beautiful image and academic diplomacy and we thank them all.”
The Barzani Charity Foundation in coordination with the Barzani headquarters and the Kurdish Diaspora Confederation, in order to get acquainted with the Kurdish diaspora in the Kurdistan Region and visit historical and tourist areas and government institutions organized a seven-day trip for the youth.
In 2018, Barzani Charity Foundation opened its first human development camp and several employees of Barzani Charity Foundation participated in it. This camp is still ongoing and is managed according to various international and academic standards.
