“Charity Work Illuminates the Ways of Nation Building” it’s the title of a book written by Mr. Ismail Abdulaziz Mustafa, Member of the Executive Board of Barzani Charity Foundation, in this book, the author uses his experience during nineteen years of humanitarian work in the Barzani Charity Foundation and defines charity work in an objective manner. It also highlights some of the valuable messages and speeches of the immortal Barzani and analyzes the world’s attitude towards charity.
In the presence of Mr. Musa Ahmad, President of Barzani Charity Foundation and a number of religious figures, civil activists, writers and donors, on Sunday 12/10/2025 at the Presidency of Barzani Charity Foundation in Erbil, the presentation ceremony of the book “Charity Work Illuminates the Ways of Nation Building”, written and prepared by Mr. Ismail Abdulaziz Mustafa, member of the Executive Board of Barzani Charity Foundation, was held.
The ceremony began with a moment of silence to pay tribute to the martyrs and then Mr. Ismail Abdulaziz, in introducing his book, first welcomed the audience and then pointed out the dimensions of charity work and nineteen years of experience working in Barzani Charity Foundation. About his written book the author said: “The publication of this book is to honor a journey that was full of service, kindness and strong faith and tells the story of this humanitarian journey. All the services of the Barzani Charity Foundation stem from a saying of the immortal Barzani, who said: “It is an honor to be a servant of your own nation”.
He added that President Barzani said during a meeting with the employees of the Barzani Charity Foundation: “You are the strategic bridge between the history of the late Barzani’s path and the nation”. And he continued: “This statement was a great responsibility on the shoulders of each of us at the Barzani Charity Foundation, which motivated me to write this book,”.
According to him, the book consists of two main parts, the first part presents the definition of charity and discusses the philosophy of charity, the second part is an analysis of charity between civilization and humanity and the size of the book is medium and 105 pages.
Then Mr. Musa Ahmad, President of Barzani Charity Foundation, welcomed the participants and congratulated Mr. Ismail Abdulaziz on the occasion of this valuable and beautiful work and he said: “God loves us for giving us this beautiful work of charity. Our society and people are rich in humanitarian work and I can say without hesitation and boldly: All the time we have worked in the humanitarian field and we experienced that no nation is as open-handed, open-hearted, generous and hospitable to humanity as the Kurdish people and all the travelers, writers, personalities and politicians who have come to Kurdistan for whatever reason and have seen Kurdish society, when they leave, they have spoken very highly about the behavior and attitudes of the Kurdish people.”
He added: “We are proud that the employees of Barzani Charity Foundation have entered the spirit of giving and humanitarian work, which is often during holidays and many nights and days away from their families due to work and projects. At the end of his speech, he once again congratulated the author of the book “Charity work illuminates the ways of nation building”.
In the final part of the ceremony, Mr. Sabir Rashid, a Kurdish writer and storyteller, read the book and pointed out that the work has its place in the Kurdish library and made some comments and suggestions to be considered in the second edition.
