BCF Continues Relief Efforts in Turkey

As instructed by H.E. Masrour Barzani, Head of the Founding Board of the Barzani Charity Foundation, the foundation’s rescue and relief teams left for Turkey on Monday, February 6, 2023, to help the earthquake victims in the country.

After the earthquake hit Turkey and Syria, a BCF trained team in the field of emergency response equipped with all medical supplies arrived in Turkey to help the victims of the disaster. The first convoy consisted of 15 vehicles and 50 personnel.

The BCF launched the jointed efforts in coordination with the Ministry of Health, the Joint Crisis Coordination Center (JCC) of KRG Ministry of Interior  and other relevant parties.

The BCF teams are also ready to be dispatched to Syria to help the victims of the quake.

The BCF relief teams in Turkey, on February 7-8, 2023, distributed 2,000 snacks to earthquake victims in Urfa, 5,000 blankets in Nurdağı, 426 packs of medicines in Dîlok, and 2,000 meals in Adiyaman.

Also, 1,000 propane and electric heaters and 4,000 blankets and mattresses have been prepared with the support of Korek Telecom Company, which will be distributed in Urfa and Dîlok. An additional 10 trucks of drinking water have been prepared with the support of UB Holding Company and will be distributed in Urfa and Marash.

BCF continues its relief campaign for the victims of the earthquake in Turkey and Syria.
