The German Federal Government Commissioner for Freedom of Religion or Belief, a high-level delegation of the German Parliament and the German Consul in the Kurdistan Region, visited Sharya camp in Duhok province on April 6, 2023, to follow up with the situation of Yezidi IDPs living in the camp.
In a meeting, attended by Pir Dayan Pir Jaafar, the head of Duhok province’s migration and crisis office, the living conditions of the camp residents and the problems of the Sinjar region were discussed. The delegation then visited the camp to learn more about the needs of the IDPs.
