Mr. Musa Ahmad, President of Barzani Charity Foundation, participated as the keynote speaker in a panel on poverty and humanitarian work, within the framework of the World Conference for Democracy.
In the panel, the President of the Charity Foundation referred to the humanitarian and charity work in the Kurdistan Region, Iraq, the region, and the world, especially in the places and areas where the Barzani Charity Foundation has worked.
In another part of his speech, Mr. Musa Ahmad said that one of the main tasks of the Barzani Charity Foundation and the organizations that do humanitarian and charity work, is how to bring together donors and poor people.
He also stressed that despite the difficulty of the task, it is important to know how to find the poor people to solve their problems, it is equally important to create an understanding of responsibility among donors and charities to look after these people.
The president of the Barzani Charity Foundation stressed that they have been able to build a strong trust to help and solve the problems of the poor, and pointed to the poverty rate in the Kurdistan Region, which in the latest census, the provinces have the lowest poverty rate.
The participants of the conference expressed their admiration for the work and activities of the Barzani Charity Foundation and said that they are doing good and difficult work in a world full of conflict and instability.
Barzani Charity Foundation is the only organization in Iraq and the region invited to this important international conference. The delegation was led by Musa Ahmad, President of the Foundation. Ibrahim Samin, Deputy President of the Agency, Awat Mustafa, Member of the Executive Board, Ashna Jamal, Director of Quality Control, Omar Ahmad, Director of the Orphans’ and Widows’ department.
