A seminar in the United States calls on the Kurdish Diaspora to support the Barzani Charity Foundation

On Sunday, August 10, 2025, the Barzani Charity Foundation in the United States held a seminar entitled “The Role of Women in Kurdish Society in the Shadow of the Mountains, in the Light of History” in Washington.
In a panel discussion, Trifa Aziz, the Kurdistan Regional Government’s representative in the United States, spoke about the role of Kurdish women in the political sphere and governance, how the Kurdistan Regional Government has tried to appreciate the role of women and how to give them a chance to participate in the political affairs.
Shahin Mafi, president of Azar Foundation, was another panelist and spoke about the importance of education for women and girls. Meanwhile, Tara Azizi, as a lawyer, spoke about justice and inequality in society.
Khunav Amin, the representative of Barzani Charity Foundation in the United States, as the organizer of the seminar, in addition to highlighting the role of women in Kurdish society, also talked about the projects and activities of Barzani Charity Foundation over the past twenty years, and has encouraged donors and the Kurdish diaspora to support the Barzani Charity Foundation in order to continue its humanitarian and Charity work in Kurdistan and the countries where it works.
