An employee of the Barzani Charity Foundation has been appointed as the health director of Afrin

The office of the Barzani Charity Foundation in Afrin organized a special ceremony for a former employee of the Barzani Charity Foundation, who after three years of medical service in the foundation, will now fulfill his duties as the director of health in Afrin.
Barzani Charity Foundation’s Office in Afrin, on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, in a special ceremony, presented an appreciation letter to Dr. Jihan Bako for she has been treating hundreds of patients in Afrin and its surroundings for three years in the mobile clinic project.
It was the last day for Dr. Jihan Bako, a member of the Barzani Charity Foundation, to work for the foundation from this day on she will be working as the director of health in Afrin. On this occasion, on behalf of the Presidency and employees of Barzani Charity Foundation, she was congratulated in a special ceremony and received an appreciation letter for the services that she did in the past.
Barzani Charity Foundation was the first international organization to deliver aid to Afrin. In addition to providing emergency services to earthquake victims and providing food and hot meals, they distributed 1,200 tents to families whose houses collapsed and were left homeless. The foundation’s services continue in Syria, especially in the border of Afrin, and great attention has been paid to vocational and educational courses, serving the disabled, orphans and the health sector. During this period, services and assistance continued in 97 different areas of Afrin, towns, and villages in various sectors. The project of mobile clinic project in the villages of Afrin continues and they provide medicines and treatment to hundreds of patients daily.
In West Kurdistan, 58,485 families (228,695 people) benefited from nine sectors of projects and activities of Barzani Charity Foundation.
