Provision of Electric Beds and Walkers for an Elderly Care Home in Erbil

In December 5, 2025, the Barzani Charity Foundation (BCF), in cooperation with the German organization Peace Village, provided a number of medical necessities, including electric beds and walkers, to an elderly care home in Erbil.
In addition to its projects, the Barzani Charity Foundation carries out humanitarian work in ten different sectors, one of the most important being the health sector, which receives significant and serious attention. In partnership and cooperation with donors, BCF provides medicines and medical supplies to health centers, health directorates, and hospitals.
Within the framework of joint cooperation between the Barzani Charity Foundation and Peace Village, several healthcare services have been delivered in multiple phases. In the past, a number of children with complex medical conditions were examined in Germany, where they received the necessary treatment.
In a recent phase, children in the cities of Erbil and Duhok were identified who require medical treatment that can be provided inside the Kurdistan Region. As a result of this process, several children were assessed and categorized according to their medical conditions in order to receive appropriate treatment.
With the support of the German organization Peace Village, and within the framework of the “Mobile Clinic” project, the Barzani Charity Foundation conducted medical screening campaigns and provided medicines and treatment for patients in camps along the border areas of Duhok Governorate.
The project delivers medications and primary healthcare services to patients in those camps who are far from health centers or whose local health facilities suffer from a shortage of medicines.
This year as well, the Barzani Charity Foundation, in cooperation with the German organization Peace Village, provided specialized training and surgical equipment for children with special needs to the Helena Center in Erbil
