Musa Ahmad: We Deliver 64 Tons of Humanitarian Aid to Chamchamal and Provide Hot Meals to the Residents of the Affected Areas

Musa Ahmad, President of the Barzani charity foundation, announced that, based on the directive of president Barzani, 64 tons of humanitarian aid were dispatched in the first phase to Chamchamal and other affected areas through eight cargo trucks, and the assistance will continue.
The President of the Barzani Charity Foundation stated today, Wednesday, January 10, 2025, during a press conference, that following meteorological warnings regarding weather forecasts and the possibility of natural disasters and flooding, their field teams were immediately placed on high alert.
He clarified that the majority of the damage occurred in the Takiya subdistrict of Chamchamal, the Rizgari subdistrict of Kalar, and the Leilan area of Kirkuk.
He also emphasized that all activities and the delivery of aid are being carried out in full coordination with the relevant government authorities in those areas.
Additionally, he noted that through international and local organizations, investors, and donors, efforts are ongoing to collect further assistance for the affected population and to alleviate the suffering, hardship, and challenges faced by residents in the impacted regions.
