Ms. Claudia highly praised the work and activities of the Barzani Charity Foundation over the past twenty years, particularly its role in the field of humanitarian aid.
In turn, the President of the Barzani Charity Foundation expressed his sincere appreciation and gratitude for the support and donations provided by the German organization Peace Village, while also expressing hope for the continuation of humanitarian services and cooperation.
On the following day, 19 January 2026, the Head of Public Relations of Peace Village paid another visit to the headquarters of the Barzani Charity Foundation. During the visit, Rawaj Haji, Head of the Syria Affairs and a member of the Executive Board of the Foundation, emphasized that Peace Village remains a key supporter of psychological support activities for displaced children from Aleppo currently residing in Afrin. He extended his thanks for the organization’s ongoing humanitarian support.
During a workshop, detailed information was presented about the Afrin office of the Barzani Charity Foundation, with a special focus on the various activities and services provided by the office, which through joint support and donations, has delivered a wide range of assistance to displaced people from Aleppo in Afrin.
The Foundation also called on the Head of Public Relations of Peace Village to intensify efforts, in coordination with other humanitarian organizations, to deliver aid to those in need and displaced populations. This comes in light of the ongoing war and displacement, particularly in Syria, where some families have been displaced more than seven times.
The Barzani Charity Foundation and the German organization Peace Village have implemented several stages of healthcare services, especially for children. In previous years, a number of children with complex medical conditions were transferred to Germany, where they received medical examinations and necessary treatment.
In a new phase, children in the cities of Erbil and Duhok have been identified who require medical treatment and whose conditions can be treated within healthcare facilities in the Kurdistan Region.
As a result of this process, a number of children were assessed and classified according to their medical needs, in preparation for receiving appropriate medical treatment in the near future.
