a delegation of Barzani Charity Foundation will participate in the International SPHeRE conference in Turkey on 13, 14 and 15/11/2024 with an official invitation of the International Federation of Red Crescent Societies and International Red Cross.
The International SPHeRE conference (2024) was launched this year with the cooperation of the Turkish Red Crescent Society and under the auspices of the International Federation of Red Crescent Societies and the International Red Cross with the participation of 70 humanitarian experts and trainers from 39 countries.
Members of the Executive Board of Barzani Charity Foundation, Mr. Awat Mustafa and Mr. Karzan Nuri participated in the meeting.
Mr. Awat Mustafa, in his panel discussion, spoke about the work and projects of Barzani Charity Foundation in all sectors, and highlighted the humanitarian situation in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq, and stressed that the Kurdish humanitarian spirit, especially in the field of welcoming refugees has been very high despite the strong obstacles in their way. And also, he stressed that “The Barzani Charity Foundation has been very successful in implementing humanitarian standards in running camps with refugees in the Kurdistan Region”.
Regarding the conference, Mr. Karzan Nuri said: “For six years, Barzani Charity Foundation has been the representative of SPHeRE Foundation in the Kurdistan Region, which is a humanitarian covenant and humanitarian voice. He added: “Barzani Charity Foundation has always met international standards in delivering aid and has built a great humanitarian infrastructure for the Kurdistan Region.” And the spoke about the “SPHeRE” book that has been translated into Kurdish by the Barzani Charity Foundation and has encouraged readers and users to provide humanitarian assistance in Kurdistan and introduced them to these humanitarian standards.
